No Limit Training
Its a brand new start for you and you want to hit the gym. First thing that comes to mind is cardio! Don't get me wrong, sitting on a bike or running on a treadmill for an hour does sound fun (not), but is this the right method for you?
Consider this method of Cardio like lifting weights, the load maybe much smaller but the repetitions make up for the load.
In 60 minutes you may have done 7000 reps of leg lifts, calve raises, quad and hip extensions, the list goes on.
This will make you sore/fatigued more than a good full body workout.
You have to keep in mind that muscle burns more calories in your body than anything else, so why not increase your muscle tone?
Cardio is great for the heart and internal systems, so it should be included in your routine, but 7000 reps of a single exercise will not help with your overall appearance and overall balance of health (strength, flexibility, stability, core, the list goes on!).
So if your time pressed (like most are) consider a full body workout that balances all the necessary components of health, you can acheive cardiovascular benefits from a great circuit workout!
If you need help stringing together exercises that keep you interested or are safe, contact your local trainer or consider group training.
